My Opinion on - the abuse people get for having an - Opinion

I can't understand why people feel the need to call each other names over opinions. Opinions will always be there. If you watch a film you will have an opinion, if you read a book you will have an opinion, with politics you will have an opinion. You get where I am going with this? People everywhere will have opinions even if it's just about this months fashion. So why the abuse? Why do some people insist on getting personal
towards someone just for having their own opinion, when they themselves have an opinion. Nobody is wrong or right. How can they possibly be? Each and everyone of us are our own person, with our own backstory. who knows why john, jane or bill have developed the opinion they have? Or for that matter why bob, jill and agnes feel differently? This to me seems to be part of the problem in the world. Everyone being so insistent that they are the correct ones and 'I'll be damned if anyone says I am wrong' is the kind of attitude that needs to stop! Lately I've been seeing all over the newspapers and social media about the refugee crisis. which is indeed a dreadful situation, no one deserves to be left without a home or safe place. But my point here is the internet war that has come of it. Half (maybe more) saying they should let them in, half saying keep them out. each half have their own opinions. Each half seem to be at war with each other. I've read the most vilest things that people are saying to each other if each don't agree with what they have to say. This is utterly ridiculous! How is this helping the problem? Someone please tell me how arguing about who is right or wrong solves this? All they are doing each and everyone of them is showing how they don't seem to be able to listen to each others opinions. Respect that they have a choice, listen to how others view things and then know for certain that your own opinion is the best one for you! Yes some will seem cruel, some will seem a bit much and some might just get on your damn nerves. It. Is. Still. Their. Choice. Calling them all sorts of profanities will not in fact change this, neither will it help any situation!
